Call for Applications – Mass Communication Students
Program Overview: The University of Melbourne invites Chiang Mai University students to apply for Global Classroom on SDGs program, which students from both universities will learn and work together online.
This 4-week program, students will explore global challenges and cultural perspectives related to the SDGs. Learning takes place through a mix of online seminars and independent team activities, allowing participants to share ideas, discuss real-world issues, and create collaborative projects that connect local culture with global sustainability goals. Participant will develop global skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and intercultural collaboration.
✨ Program Highlights
- Work in international teams (CMU – UoM) to explore one selected SDG.
- Explore and interpret local cultural or artistic elements related to your chosen SDG
- Engage in independent learning and collaborative teamwork to develop your group project.
- Participate in 4 live online seminars to discuss ideas, share progress, and present reflections.
- Produce a short creative video (2–3 mins) presenting your team’s exploration work.
📅 Program dates: 2 – 27 February 2026
🕙 Online Sessions: Every Wednesday, 10.00 – 12.00 (Bangkok Time)
📍 Number of MC CMU students: 6 students
✅ Who Can Apply
- 2nd – 3nd year undergraduate students or graduate students from Faculty of Mass Communication
- Strong English communication skills
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Minimum grade of B in English courses (at least half of the courses enrolled) for undergraduate students
- Minimum score of 65 in CMU eTEGs for graduate students
- Basic media production skills and to support international teammates with content creation
- Responsible, proactive, friendly, and open to learning new experiences.
- Available to join all online sessions and independent team discussions for 4 weeks

- A Certificate of Participation from University of Melbourne upon successful completion

- 2 – 27 Feb 2026 – Program starts
